• Allergic reaction/anaphylaxis (s-122, S-162)
• Burns (S-124, S-170)
• Hemodialysis patient with suspected hyperkalimia if >72 hours since last dialysis

ADULT:

• 6ml (0.083%) via nebulizer MR

PEDS:   PDC via nebulizer MR

Concentration:  2.5/3ml

1. Use with 4-6lpm of O2 for handheld mouthpiece
2. Use with 6-10 lpm of O2 for aerosol mask, CPAP and ET tube routes of administration
3. 3. Keep nebulizer upright to avoid spilling.
4. Drug becomes unstable in temperatures > 77 degrees; do not use if the drug is discolored (normally clear) or precipitated
5. Causes minimal cardiac stimulation; monitor ECG & heart rate
6. Use cation in pregnancy

7. Decreases hyperkalemia associated with dialysis patients by facilitating the movement of potassium back into cells
