1. Piperacillin/Tazobactam (2.25, 3.375, and 4.5 g inj)
2. E. coli, bacteroides, staph aureus, haemophilus influenzae (beta lactamase producing bacteria)
3. Administer by 30 min infusion
3. Contra: Allergy to PCN, cephalosporins and Beta-lactimase inhibitors
4. Warnings: Anaphylaxis or Drug interactions (aminoglycosides, probenacid, vanco, heparin, vecuronium, MTX)
5. S/E: Diarrhea, blleding, resistant organisms, hypokalemia, convulsions, increased fever and rash with CF

2. Vanc-resistant enterocuccus, nosocomial pneumonia, complicated skin infection, unconcpicated skin infections, community-acquired pneumonia
3. Everything but uncomplicated skin infection (600 mg q12H for 14 days); uncomplicated (400 mg q12h for 14 days)
4. Conta: MAOIs, uncontrolled HTN, stertonin syndrome
5. Warnings: Mylosuppression; Drug interactions: MAOIs, adrenergic agents, seronergic agents, strong CYP450 inducers
6. S/E: Lactic acidosis, serotonin syndrome, peripheral optic neuropathy, convulsions, development of drug resistant bacteria
