  • This is both a radiological and histological diagnosis. Usually seen on imaging and then biopsied

Excisional biopsy to rule out cancer (10-20% will have DCIS). Do NOT need negative margins. There is an increased risk of IDC about 1.6x (not quite double in the average risk patient).
