  11. Ask resident if they are dizzy or feel faint; if so, wait for 1 minute. If dizzy after 1 minute, return patient to laying down position and notify nurse.
  12. Please gait belt on resident and inform of move from bedside to wheelchair
  13. Perform steps for assisting patient to standing position using a gait belt.
  14. Slowly move with patient to chair and ask resident to inform when they can feel chair with back of legs
  15. Perform steps to lower resident to sitting position in wheelchair using a gait belt
  16. Insure security, safety and comfort of resident in chair.
