-Pt prone, pt to grasp ant thigh and elevate leg passively to point of discomfort -Ask pt where pain is
-Pain in back/buttock/hip indicates + test for Femoral n. involvement -Pain in quad indicates + test for muscle tightness |

*do this test if pt complains of "catching", or hypermobile in screening SLR: -Pt standing, have them bend over forward and come back up slowly -Instability/quivering/aberrant motion during flex/ext, and/or *gower's sign* (labored, climbing up legs) indicates + test for lumbar instability |
