a. Locate the Brachial Vein on the Ventral side of the wing (Figure 1), visualize using 70% Ethanol spray b. Slightly Bend the needle with the Facet up c. The “Angle of Attack” is parallel to the Vein (Figure 2) d. Always “march forward, never retreat”; avoid formation of Hematoma i. DO NOT continue an ejection through a hematoma e. Inject Slowly 0.5 – 1.0 ml Euthasol IV Anesthetize => Euthanize f. Confirm Death prior to Dissection |
