Compare to Robert longo’s work –both go back to human figure Old man’s boat =have leisure, affluence What do you think fischl is trying to impart? That unsettling feeling of all these good things going on in America -what do you think he might be trying to uncover? -feeling of anxiety of environment -not even aware of waves and sky behind them –very complacent about vunlerabilty on boat -back to realism -dalmation snarling might be warning owners |
