Style originated in the area of Cologne, Germany. When brewed with traditional Kolsch yeast, this style exhibits some of the more desirable features of both ales and lagers. Our Kolsch is pale gold with light body and a slightly dry palate. Medium hop bitterness and light hop aroma. This beer is a good "transition" beer for people not accustomed to full flavored beers.

A British style; really does have a nutty character in the nose. Brewed with a number of dark malts for a pronounced malt character. Not noted for a hop character, other than for balance.

Another British style. It originates from the agressively hopped and high-alcohol beers which used to be shipped to the British troops in colonial India. Pale to medium amber colored. This style is usually more popular with beer drinkers familiar with full flavored beers.

Smoked Porter
Definition
Porter is a style with unknown origins. It is not opaque like a stout it, but is still very dark. Our Porter uses beechwood smoked malt in the grist, which lends a distinctive smokiness to the tast and aroma. This beer goes well with any smoked food and also with oysters, clams, mussels, crayfish, crabs, fish, veal, and light flavored meats.
