Dementia: Gradual and progressive, not reversible, leads to loss of ADL skill, disease associated with: Alzheimer, Lewy Bodies, CVA. Depression: Not considered a normal part of ageing but becoming more common. Causes can be loss if independence, loss of loved one, disease, chronic pain. Can co-occur with dementia. |
