Oral Suspension

This drug is to treat infection caused by bacteria

• Side Effects:  nausea, vomiting, stomach pain and sometimes can cause vaginal itching or discharge
• dosage: 300 mg every 12 hrs or 600 mg once a day taken for 5-10 days 
• reccomended not to drink alcohol while taking this medication

Levaquin 

Generic Name: Levofloxacin 

Oral Solution, tablets or injection

drug class: fluoroquinolone, quinolones

dosage: 250 mg, 500 mg, or 700.

• side effects: diarrhea, constipation, dizziness, irritated or torn tendons.  
•  store at room temperature 
• do not take any calcium products 2 hours before and 2 hour after taking medication.

Furadantin

 generic name: Nitrofurantoin

• oral suspension-capsule, tablets
• is to treat urinary tract infections.
• is an antibiotic, but will not work on colds, flu or other virus infections.
• Dosage: adults and teenager's 50-100 mg every six hrs.
• for extended release capsules (100 mg every 12 hrs for 7 days)
• side effects: chest pain, general discomfort of illness, fever

Keflex

generic name: cephalexin 

• oral suspension
• dosage: The usual dose of oral is 250 mg every 6 hours, but a dose of 500 mg every 12 hours may be administered. Treatment is administered for 7 to 14 days.
• is to treat wide variety of bacterial infections including upper respiratory, ear infections, urinary infections and bone infections. 
• make sure to take medication the entire length of time prescribed by dr. 
• will not treat viral infection, or common cold
• side effects: acute abdominal pain, nausea and diarrhea 

Noroxin

generic name: norfloxacin
