WPA/WPA2 sipports key length up from 8-63 alphanumeric characters, including punctuation marks and character marks aren't permitted with WEP. Also allows RADIUS authentication server to be used in organizations. |

Most wireless routers and WAPs allow users to specify the allowable MAC addresses so that only these devices may use the network. The MAC address can be used to block specific MAC addresses from accessing the network. The filters can block casual hackers from gaining access and it's possible to change the MAC Address because they're not encrypted, making them detected by network hacking software. So it's not a full security method. |
