  • SVA - Special Visceral Afferent
    • – provides *special sense of taste from the posterior one-third of the tongue
  • SVE – Special Visceral Efferent
    • - Branchial motor component Innervates the stylopharyngeus muscle (under jaw area)
  • GVE - General Visceral Efferent
    • – Parasympathetic innervation of parotid gland– salivary glands
