In order to manage weight, 60 minutes of moderate to vigorous activity is recommended most days. To sustain weight loss, you should aim for 60-90 minutes/day. Physical activity should include cardiovascular training, stretching, resistance exercises, and/or calesthenics. New physical activity guidelines came out last month. For adults age 18+ activity goals are: • Moderate aerobic activity for >150 min/week • Vigorous aerobic activity for >75 min/week • Strengthening exercises 2+ days/week, training all major muscle groups with 8-12 reps. |
