Other H2 blockers are free of these effects.

Magnesium Hydroxide- Osmotic diarrhea, hyporeflexia, hypotension, cardiac arrest; hypokalemia

 

Calcium carbonate- hypercalcemia, rebound acid inc; hypokalemia (may chelate and dec effectiveness of other drugs like tetracycline)
