Arguments have 2 parts:
Conclusion: the claim (“supported part”)
Premise: the reason(s) for supporting the conclusion
Critical thinking is thus evaluating arguments.
For our purposes opinions, views, thoughts, beliefs, convictions, and ideas, orders are the same
two types: inductive, and deductive

Rule of thumb for testing subjectivity: if two people claim the opposite, must one be false?
• The idea that everyone’s opinion is just as good as everyone else’s. (ignore the fact that people can be right and wrong)
