• Swim clear of helicopter and inflate LPU

Cockpit Fire/Cabin Fire

If source is known:

• Affected power switches and CBs
• Secure
• Portable Fire Extinguisher
• As Required

If fire continues or source is unkown:

• Cabin/doors/vents/ECS
• Close/Off, as required
• Unnecessary Electrical equipment and CBs
• Secure

If fire continues:

• Land as soon as possible

Rescue Hoist Failure

• Cease hoisting
• Visually inspect hoist.
• Verify:
• Back-up Pump On advisory light
• Illuminated
• BACKUP HYD PMP switch
• on
• RESCUE HOIST switch
• All
• RESCUE HOIST CBs
• In
• RESCUE HOIST CTRL (NO.2 DC PRI)
• RESCUE HOIST CTRL (NO.1 DC PRI)
• Check normal hoist operations

If electrical failure persists:

• BACKUP CONTROL
• Select
• Attempt to set personnel/cargo on deck/water

If unable:

• Cable Grip

Runaway Hoist

If payout continues:

• Hydraulic pump
• Secure

Rescue Hoist Fouled Cable

• Payout cable and attempt to free hangup.

If unable:

• Cut/shear cable
