Indications:
For treatment of occasional constipation
Consultations:
- Dissolved in 8 oz of water, juice, soda, coffee, or tea
- Consult physician if symptoms are severe or persistent
- 2-4 days may be required to produce bowel movement
- Do not use for more than 2 weeks unless directed to do so. - Prolonged/excessive use may result in electrolyte imbalance and dependence on laxatives
- Exercise and a diet high in fiber and with adequate fluid intake will produce more regular bowel habits |

- Swallow capsules whole or open capsule and sprinkle contents over tablespoon of applesauce & ingest immediately without chewing

Indications:
Treatment of duodenal ulcer associated with Helicobacter pylori
Treatment of GERD
Consultations:
- Take on empty stomach
- Capsules should be swallowed whole or contents sprinkled over soft food and ingested immediately without chewing
- Mix granules with 30mL water, stir well, and drink immediately. If granules remain after drinking, add more water, stir, and drink immediately. Do not chew or crush granules
- If dose is missed, skip and return to normal schedule
- Prevacid IV must be reconstituted according to the manufacturer’s directions and administered using an in-line filter |
