The statue needed additive sculpture to get better detail.

6. Alternate-support system- In medieval church architecture, the use of alternation wall supports in the nave, usually piers and columns or compound piers of altering form.

We were at the apse of the cathedral.

13. Arabesque- literally, “Arab like.” A flowing, intricate pattern derived from stylized organic beliefs usually floral, often arranged in symmetrical pal designs; generally, an Islamic decorated motif.

The front porch was surrounded by a wooden balustrade that gave it an almost Grecian or Roman feel.

24. Barrel Vault- A barrel of tunnel vault semi cylindrical in cross section is, in affect, a deep arch or an un interrupted series of arches, one behind the other, over in oblong space.
