A scientist wants to determine if giving plants fertilizer will help them grow larger.

All the seeds are the same and they are planted in the same pots with the same soil and recieve the same amount of sunlight. 

The plants in group A are watered once a week with plain water; the plants in group B are watered once a week with water with fertilizer added.After eight weeks the plants were measured to see which was bigger.

• The  dependent variable is the height of the plants after eight weeks
